Gothic Revival

Gothic Revival emerged in the second quarter of the 19^thcentury in the UK, as High Anglicanism began to embrace the Oxford Movement's proponents (like Cardinal John Henry Newman), & in reaction to both nonconfomism and industrialization. Spreading across the world, its influence was seen in such places as France, Canada, Australia, and Argentina.
